Care
Last updated 20 October 2026
A piece is made to be worn. Care is ordinary: keep it apart from other jewelry, take it off for sleep, sport, and anything that would knock the setting, and bring it back to the house when it needs more than that. Delivery and returns are on their own page.
Wearing it
- Put the piece on last, after perfume, lotion, and hairspray have dried. Those can dull a metal and cloud a stone.
- Rinse it in lukewarm water and dry it with a soft cloth. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam, or household chemicals.
- Store it on its own, in the box it arrived in, so another piece cannot scratch the metal or the stone.
- A chain, a clasp, and a setting loosen with wear. If something moves that did not move before, stop wearing it and write to us.
Repair and resizing
Care and repair stay with the house. If you send a piece for repair or resizing, we will tell you the time and, where there is a charge, the cost, after we have seen it. Looking at a piece for repair is not an appraisal and is not a statement of its value.
If a piece is lost or damaged while it is with us for repair, we will repair it or replace it with a piece of like kind. That is the remedy for that loss, except where the law requires more. The same point is in the terms of use.
Write to [email protected] before you post a piece. We will tell you how to send it, and we will insure the journey.
